How To Add A Link To Your Hub

hubpageMarketing on Hubpages? Maybe you haven’t figured everything out and need some help.

I’ve been using Hubpages since 2007 and earning a full time income so I can definitely help you out.

This tutorial was made for a subscriber who wanted to know how to add her Clickbank link to a hub. If you’re having trouble with the same issue then I’ve made it easy for you by including screenshots of this seemingly simple process.

If you still have trouble after following these instructions, please leave a comment below in the comment section or contact me.

1. Editing Your Hub

Whenever you view one of your hubs, you’ll have the options to do some things with it. Hubpages displays link to either Edit, View Stats or Delete your hub in a grey box right at the top above your Hub title.

Click Edit and you should see the following screen.

On this screen locate the text module where you want to add your Clickbank link. When you’ve found that module, Click Edit.

2. Selecting Your Link Text

When you’ve clicked Edit, a box should pop up so that you can edit your work. If a box doesn’t pop up, you should disable pop ups for Hubpages and try again.

To add your link, find and highlight the text that you want to turn into a link. Alternatively, you can add some text like “Click here to….” at the end of the text that’s already in the editor. Then just highlight that text so that you can turn it into a link.

The next thing you need to do after highlighting the text is to click on the little chain link in the toolbox at the top of the editor. This is the universal icon for adding a link on most editors.

Make sure that your text is still highlighted when you click on this icon otherwise it won’t work and you should repeat this step.

3. Adding Your Link to your Hub

After you click on the link chain, another box will pop up.

This is where you add your Clickbank link. Your Clickbank link should start with ‘http’ as in the example in the screenshot. You should copy your link directly from the Clickbank link tool instead of typing it in so that you don’t mess it up. Otherwise it wouldn’t track and you’d end up losing sales.

Insert your link in the first field and then click on the Insert button.

There are other advanced options available for you to add a quick link to another hub or customize your link to open in a next tab. You’ll get these after trying it out a bit.

4. Saving Your Link

Clicking on insert should exit the link editor and take you back to the text editor where your link would have been made. It should show up in blue.

Click save in the toolbar to save your work.

5. Saving Your Hub

By now you’ve accomplished the task of adding a clickable link in your hub that would direct your visitors to a Clickbank product where they can purchase and earn you a commission.

Saving your module isn’t the end though. You now need to save your hub if it has been previously published or publish your hub if you haven’t done so yet and its ready for the world to see. In the following screenshot, I haven’t published my hub as yet so I would hit ‘Publish Now’.

On an already published hub you would click ‘Done Editing’.

There you have it. A hub with a clickable link that will earn you affiliate commissions. Well, at least if you’re providing value and marketing your product to a relevant audience.
